The Godwin Terrace School

Growing Leaders of

Today and Tomorrow

Our School Logo,Vision & Mission

Our school logo is specifically designed to serve as a symbol of our vision and mission at P.S. 207. Like an oak tree, our tree signifies our emphasis on strength, knowledge, growth and creativity. Our tree trunk and crown are depicted in the form of an adult and child intertwined, symbolizing the manner in which we work together to lift, shape and support our students. The branches and leaves of our tree are a myriad of colorful handprints, signifying the individual knowledge and strengths of our students as they grow as leaders of today and tomorrow.

Our vision of “Growing Leaders of Today and Tomorrow” is supported by our mission to provide a developmentally appropriate, inviting, safe and supportive learning environment which fosters leadership skills in all of our students. Each day, our growing leaders engage in tasks designed to strengthen their academic, physical and environmental wellness and to foster the skills necessary for their success as leaders of today and tomorrow.
