Growing up as an English language learner, I relied on those teachers who understood me, helped me see my talents, and cheered me to succeed. I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference in the world. I enjoy creating a classroom where my students know they can express their ideas in their native language because their ideas and voices matter. I want to do my part in helping our students see the world needs their talents and their exceptional ideas. I want to put my grain of sand to ensure our students succeed and become everything they can be.
