P.S. 207 School Leaders

Tara O'Brien, Principal

Dear PS 207 Community,

On behalf of the staff at P.S. 207, I am happy to welcome you to P.S. 207! We are looking forward to a productive year working with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. As we begin the year together, we are looking forward to partnering with you in working toward our school vision of Growing Leaders of Today and Tomorrow, is supported by our mission, to unite and ignite a love of learning and to create a joyful, equitable and inclusive learning environment which fosters the leadership skills and values necessary for the success of all members of our school community.

Joy is as the ecnter of the PS 207 ROCKS STAR community,. From the moment your child approaches our building each morning, after being greeted with a smile by our Cheerful Champions Morning Greeting Team. Students continue into our Growing ROCKS STAR Leaders Cafe for Morning Greeting Time where we recite the Pledge of Allegiance and our P.S. 207 R.O.C.K.S. Pledge and engage in a breathing exercise to prepare for the day. After being greeted by their teachers in the Cafe, students head to their classrooms where they engage in rich tasks designed to develop advanced literacy skills in all content areas. Throughout each day, we celebrate positive behavior expectations and leadership values for our students as they grow into leaders of today and tomorrow. To keep you up to date regarding all of the great things happening, our ROCKS STAR Review Newsletter, which showcases the month’s celebrations, activities, and academics, as well as provides a look ahead to the following month. We are excited to partner with you, and we are looking forward to years filled with love, laughter, and moments that we will treasure forever.

Collaboratively,
