About Our School
Our Vision, Mission, Logo & Respect for ALL
Growing Leaders of Today and Tomorrow
At The Godwin Terrace School, our vision of Growing Leaders of Today and Tomorrow, is supported by our mission, to unite and ignite a love of learning and to create a joyful, equitable and culturally responsive learning environment which fosters the leadership skills and values necessary for the success of all members of our school community.
Our Logo
Our school logo is designed to serve as a symbol of our vision and mission at P.S. 207. Like an oak tree, our tree signifies our emphasis on strength, knowledge, growth and creativity. Our tree trunk and crown are depicted in the form of an adult and child intertwined, symbolizing the manner in which we work together to lift, shape and support our students. The branches and leaves of our tree are a myriad of colorful handprints, signifying the individual knowledge and strengths of our students as they grow as leaders of today and tomorrow.
Respect for ALL, ALWAYS
In keeping with our vision, mission and core values, at P.S. 207, RESPECT and KINDNESS are part of our R.O.C.K.S. values and is modeled and practiced each and every day. We fully support and engage with the NYC DOE’s Respect For All commitment, creating a school environment which nurtures tolerance, equity, acceptance and respect of others, and acceptance and respect of oneself. Help us celebrate Respect for ALL by participating in our ROCKS Equity and Respect Spirit Days each month! (please visit our current events section for

Meet our mascots...
Our mascots, R.O.C.K.S. & S.T.A.R.
represent our core leadership and behavioral beliefs.
Students begin the day with our R.O.C.K.S.-S.T.A.R. pledge, put these values into practice throughout each day, and are positively rewarded each month for exemplifying these values at our monthly R.O.C.K.S. S.T.A.R. assemblies and at the end of the year at our Moving Up and Graduation Ceremonies. This year, each month, each class will choose one family per month to receive a certificate for exemplifying R.O.C.K.S.-S.T.A.R. values.
