Dear PS 207 Families,
As we welcome April, we want to celebrate the wonderful successes of March! Our Read Across America Challenge and Dr. Seuss Week were vibrant celebrations of literacy and imagination, and our Parent-Teacher Conferences strengthened the partnership between home and school. We also enjoyed meaningful family engagement through our weekly parent relaxation sessions and Pre-K parent visits. Thank you for your support in making these experiences memorable for our students.
April is a month of growth — in learning, community, and care for one another and the world around us.
🌱 What’s Happening This Month
Every Kid Healthy Month:
We are proud to join this year-round initiative celebrating health, wellness, and positive choices. Our focus continues to be on nourishing bodies and minds so students can thrive.
Climate Action & Outdoor Learning — April 9, 2026:
In celebration of Climate Action Day, PS 207 will participate in outdoor, environmentally themed learning centered on Health, Wellness, and Green Space. Students will explore sustainability through hands-on activities that deepen their connection to nature and reinforce responsible stewardship of our planet.
Spring Recess — April 2–10, 2026:
Please note that schools are closed for Spring Recess during this period. We hope all families enjoy restorative time together.
Earth Month & Earth Day:
Throughout April, our classrooms will engage in projects and discussions that promote sustainability, care for the environment, and respect for the Earth — values we hold close as a community.
Arts Education Celebrations:
We continue to spotlight student creativity! Our arts programming — including dance, music, theater, and visual arts — remains a vibrant part of the PS 207 experience, and we celebrate the artistic accomplishments of our learners every day.
Eid al-Fitr Observance:
We recognize and honor all families observing Eid al-Fitr around this time. We wish our community members peace, joy, and blessings as the month of Ramadan concludes.
🌟 A Word of Thanks
