Dear PS 207 Families,

A warm September Welcome to our PS 207 family—especially to our newest members—and a tremendous Welcome Back to our returning families! Over the past week, our dedicated staff have been working hard to create warm, beautiful, and engaging spaces for your children. Each classroom reflects the consistency of our shared expectations across the school, while also highlighting the unique imprint of the educators who bring each space to life.

This year, you will also notice some new faces in our PS 207 community. As we shared in our August newsletter, we had a heartfelt and bittersweet farewell to Dr. Santiago, whose leadership and legacy will always remain part of who we are. At the same time, with the opening of new sections, we are excited to welcome new staff members who bring fresh energy, talent, and dedication to our mission of “Growing Leaders of Today and Tomorrow.” Together, we will continue to build upon the strong foundation already in place while embracing the opportunities of the year ahead.

The beginning of a new school year, much like the dawning of a new day, reminds us that the future holds endless possibilities. Guided by our vision and mission, we look forward to working together toward the hopes and dreams we share for your children.

We are thrilled to launch the year with our Opening Days family activities, which help transition our students back into “school mode” and prepare them for joyful and meaningful learning. This year, we are excited to continue our Equity and Respect Spirit Days on the first Friday of each month, paired with our ROCKS STAR Values Assemblies. We are also delighted to introduce Pre-K Family Fridays, when PreK families are invited to visit their child’s class from 8:10–8:50 a.m. each Friday morning. (More details to come!)
