Parent Corner
At PS 207, parents and teachers agree that we need teamwork and trust.
We truly believe that TEAMWORK makes the DREAM WORK! We value the support and commitment from our parents to provide the best education possible for our students.
Whether you are new or returning, we are delighted to to have you as part of the PS 207 Family and to have the opportunity to be a part of your child’s education. We recognize the considerable trust you demonstrate by placing your child in our hands, and we take this responsibility seriously. We strive to provide the highest quality learning experience each day. We will continuously work together to develop P.S. 207’s vision of Growing Leaders of Today and Tomorrow, supported by our mission, to unite and ignite a love of learning and to create a joyful, equitable and inclusive learning environment which fosters the R.O.C.K.S. S.T.A.R. leadership skills and values necessary for the success of all members of our school community. We begin with our physical space, which is a representation of our our students. Every inch has a purpose, and is rich in potential to engage and to communicate, with art, mirrors, documents and photos to enhance the exploration and study of self, social interactions and joyful learning. Throughout the year, we build an exciting, nurturing environment to enhance the learning and growth journey of our students. We look forward to a wonderful start to the 2023-2024 school year and many happy years of partnership with you and your family during this most amazing time in your child’s life!
Collaboratively,
PS 207 Staff
A message from our Parent Coordinator:
Welcome new and returning families. We are excited to kick off what we are sure will be another great year at PS 207. We are working hard to make sure that your child/children have a successful year of learning and growth, however, we know that we can’t do this alone. We need your support and involvement. The more involved you are in your child’s education, the more successful your child will be here.
One of the keys to your child’s success will be your ongoing involvement in our school community. Throughout the year, you will have opportunities to meet with your child’s teacher, attend informational sessions on the teaching approaches and participate in workshops on topics of special interest that will be planned and announced throughout the school year.
I urge you to join, attend the Parents’ Association meetings and events. It is an opportunity to meet other parents, to make new friends, is a valuable source of information and support for you and will offer you opportunities to contribute to our school community.
Please also attend the many events we host to celebrate our student’s success. As your child’s first and most important teacher, we also need you to help us get to know your child so that we can offer him/her the best learning experience possible.
I am available to each and every one of you to provide information, answer questions, help you access resources for your child and help you resolve problems that you or your child may encounter in the school. Please feel free to come to the main office, call me or email me when you need assistance.
All of us at PS 207 are very happy that you and your child are part of our family. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you and your child get settled into the new school year.
Sincerely,
Parent Coordinator
