Dear P.S. 207 Families,

Happy New Year! We hope your holiday season was filled with rest, relaxation, and joy with your loved ones.

As we return from the winter break, we’re excited to jump back into the heart of teaching and learning at P.S. 207. January is a wonderful time to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished so far and to plan with purpose for the months ahead.

One of our top priorities this year continues to be strong student attendance. Attending school each day sets the foundation for success and helps students build consistent routines that support learning and growth. Please help us by ensuring your child is at school on time, every day, ready to learn!

Another essential part of our success is communication. We believe that strong partnerships between home and school make all the difference. We encourage all families to stay connected—visit our school website and follow us on Instagram and Twitter for important updates, celebrations, and announcements.

As we begin 2026, our schoolwide focus is on maintaining a positive mindset and embracing January’s Growth Mindset Mantra: “Feedback is a Gift—Accept It.”

Together, we’ll continue encouraging students to reflect on their progress, celebrate growth, and set new goals. Families can join in by acknowledging the small victories each day brings—whether it’s a great effort on a writing task, improved attendance, or an act of kindness.

We’re also excited to continue recognizing our ROCKS and STAR students each week—those who show resilience, optimism, citizenship, kindness, and success. These moments of celebration remind us of the joy and pride that fill our halls every single day.

We are deeply grateful for your continued partnership, trust, and support. Each family brings a unique and special piece to our school community, making P.S. 207 the warm, vibrant, and inspiring place that it is.

Here’s to a new year filled with growth, gratitude, and greatness! May 2026 bring your family health, happiness, and many reasons to celebrate.

With appreciation and joy,
Tara OBrien 💛
