Dear PS Families,
It’s hard to believe we’ve already reached November 2025! 🍂 This is one of my favorite times of year—the fall colors are glowing, the air feels crisp, and the holidays centered around family, gratitude, and togetherness are just around the corner.
As always, we have so much to be thankful for here at P.S. 207 – Growing Leaders of Today and Tomorrow. Last month’s Book-O-Ween, Trunk or Treat and our Book Fair hosted by our Parent's Association were absolutely wonderful! Thank you to all grade levels and teams for creating such a memorable experience for our families and students! Our students’ creativity and excitement filled the building. We are grateful to everyone who helped make these events such a success—it was the perfect way to close out October and welcome a new month full of reflection and appreciation.
November reminds us to pause, give thanks, and recognize the people and moments that make our community special. From Veterans Day, when we honor those who have served our country, to Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences, when we connect with you- our families-to celebrate student growth and set new goals, to Thanksgiving, when we gather with loved ones to recharge—this month truly centers on gratitude.
In the true spirit of Thanksgiving, a few highlights from the start of our year stand out:
The deep commitment and passion of every classroom teacher.
The joy and enrichment our Specials team brings through STREAM, Library, PE, Writing.
The collaboration and dedication of our ICT partnerships, ensuring every learner is supported.
The dedication to improving our Tier 1 instruction with a focus on the five areas of Explicit Instruction.
The K–5 teamwork that drives our Tier 2 work and keeps instruction data-driven and responsive.
The hard work and pride of our custodian, Vinny and our evening cleaning team for keeping our building spotless and safe.
The care and compassion that our morning greeters show our students and families every single day.
The behind-the-scenes magic from our phenomenal office staff and school aides all day, every day.
The commitment and care of our Special Education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and counselors.
The endless efforts of Team 103 who make everything run smoothly and support every part of our school.
The Sunshine Team, who lift our spirits and bring us together to celebrate each other.
And of course, our entire staff and families whose teamwork truly makes our dreams work every day.
There’s no doubt I’m forgetting many moments of gratitude—and I’ll continue adding to this list throughout the month.
It truly takes a village to raise a child, and we’re so proud and grateful to be part of the 207 Village. Wishing you and your families a peaceful, joy-filled November. Let’s continue to give thanks, celebrate giving, and keep the spirit of community alive as we move into this festive season of learning and laughter.
With gratitude and love,
Tara OBrien💛
