Dear PS 207 Families,

Happy October! It’s hard to believe how quickly the first month of school has flown by. September was an incredible start to the year, filled with learning, community, and connection. Thank you to all the families who attended our Open House, and participated in our Parents’ Associationm School Leadership Team and Title I Family Elections. Your involvement helps make PS 207 such a strong and vibrant school community.

October brings even more excitement as we continue building on the wonderful energy of our first month together. This month, our focus is on celebrating learning, creativity, and community spirit!

Thjis month, our Parents’ Association will have their first general meeting and a book fair planned!  We look forward to seeing families there.   We’re also thrilled to host our annual Book-O-Ween celebration, Later this month, we’ll celebrate our annual Book-O-Ween—a beloved PS 207 tradition that brings stories to life. Families are invited to attend the Book-O-Ween parade and presentation, where students will showcase their favorite book characters and classroom creations. Following the parade, students will participate in Trunk-or-Treat, an afternoon of fun and festivities organized by staff and volunteers (please note this portion of the event is for students only).  Please be on the lookout for flyers for this month's events.  Please also check our Family Events SLides for all updated flyers.

As always, thank you for your continued partnership, enthusiasm, and support. Together, we’re making this school year one to remember. October reminds us that when our school and families come together, amazing things happen—because at PS 207, teamwork truly makes the dream work!

Wishing all of our families a joyful and spirited month ahead!

With appreciation,
Tara OBrien
